Community Living provides opportunities to individual's with disabilities to enable them to live as independently as possible.

Supported Independent Living provides assistance to individuals who own or lease homes in the community. The amount of supports/training varies depending upon the need of the individual. These supports can include:

  • House Hunting
  • Budgeting
  • House Management
  • Time Management
  • Personal Shopping
  • Meal Planning and Preparation
  • Grooming
  • Grocery Shopping
  • Health and Safety
  • Emergency Planning

Our Group Homes provide support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Each house is licensed for eight people, and have a warm and friendly atmosphere. Supports provided are based on individual needs and focus on decision making and independence.

Advocates in Motion (AIM) - Community Living residents meet twice monthly to discuss rights, ideas, and learn self-advocacy strategies.

Weekly Sports - Community Living residents meet weekly to learn/participate in team sports such as kickball, softball, track, frisbee golf, basketball, football, and soccer.

Men’s/Woman’s Group - Twice monthly these groups meet to provide an open forum to discuss any gender specific social issues/questions.

The Beach Crew (TBC) - Twice monthly residents are invited to go to the beach for a picnic dinner, swimming, shell collecting, and relaxation.

The Vacationers - Twice monthly residents who are interested in going on a vacation have the opportunity to get together, brainstorm, and plan where they want to go.

Monthly Scavenger Hunt - Residents of Community Haven are fortunate to have a large 32 acre campus with ample open land. Campus scavenger hunts focus on team building and most importantly, having fun!

We have a vacancy for 1 male tennant in our Suncoast House. For more information, please contact us here.

Resident's ages range from the mid-twenties up. Harmony House is for females, Suncoast House is for males and Friendship House has a blended population. We accept private pay and State/Federal Medicaid Waiver funding.
